Kekaha Town 4th of July starting at 5pm on Friday with lots of activities and entertainment for the family. Kekaha Neighborhood Center & H.P. Faye Ballpark. Admission is free. Saturday starting at 6am with same fun featuring crafts, food booths, cultural displays, live entertainment and music, games and rounding off the evning with a fantastic fireworks in the sky. Kaua'i Hospice 20th Annual Concert in the Sky offers the largest aerial fireworks show on Kaua'i, family fun and games, and great food from top hotels and restaurants. Gates open at 4pm with continuous live entertainment. Vidinha Soccer Field in Lihue. Advance admission price is $10 for adults; $5 for keiki (children) 6-12 yrs; under 5 free. Pre-sale tickets available June 1st-July 3rd at all Big Save Markets and Menehune Food Marts. Tickets at the gate on July 4th are $15 for adults and $7 for keiki 6-12. Once on This Island presented by Hawaii Children's Theatre is a Broadway theatrical Caribbean adaptation of Romeo & Juliet that sings and dances the story of Ti Moune, the black peasant girl who rescues, nurses and falls in love with Daniel, a mulatto from a wealthy family. When Daniel is returned to his people, the gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred and death. Performances at Kauai Community College Theatre in Puhi, 7pm Fridays and Saturdays, Sundays at 4 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Call (808) 246-8985.

25th Annual Koloa Plantation Days events that showcase the area’s social history, its natural history, and its diverse cultural traditions. In addition, numerous events allow attendees to enjoy the sports activities and entertainment available at the gracious resorts in the Poipu and Koloa area. 8th Annual Heiva I Kauai Iaorana Tahiti, International Tahitian Dance Competition at Kapa'a Beach Park, Kauai. Solo and group performances, traditional and contemporary Tahitian drumming competition. Multi-cultural exhibitions with Master Drummer, Heimanu Tehahe and Dance Troup from Tahiti.
